I not only found the "5k runner" site to be helpful, I used the $50 discount code at the site to purchase my ring. That made the ring competitively priced with other rings and wrist-worn devices. As of February 2019, the code is still honored by Oura.

A warning about the Oura web site: The site has an easy to navigate superficial layer, but underneath that is a wealth of information that is organized in a non-linear manner. It is easy to get lost running after shiny objects and forget what you were actually trying to find.
